The spiny dogfish is back! After being protected for many years, it has now returned in large numbers, making it a fantastic sport fish to catch. It is both strong and resilient – a real adrenaline rush for all sport fishermen!

We bait the spiny dogfish with fish pieces and use barbless hooks to ensure a gentle release after the catch. Of course, we take an awesome photo before releasing the shark back into its rightful element!

From June, July, and August, we depart from Marstrand; during other months, Mollösund is the best departure port.

My name is Jezper Ivarsson, and I live for fishing. With 117 species caught in Swedish waters, I am one of Sweden's most accomplished species anglers – and always on the lookout for the next unique catch.

In 2024, I registered the most spiny dogfish in the Big Fish Register, an achievement that required both skill, patience, and a deep understanding of the ocean’s ecosystem. My curiosity and passion for sport fishing drive me to constantly explore new fishing areas and techniques to find the most spectacular species.

Safety and professionalism are essential on my tours. I have a Ship Officer Class 8 certification, VHF certification, and First Aid training, ensuring you can feel safe when we head out to sea.

My departure port is located just south of Marstrand, but since my boat is often on a trailer, we can start fishing almost anywhere along the west coast – from Björkö to the Koster Islands, where I have the most experience and know exactly where the big fish are hiding.
